So the other day my sister and I was watching the Nicki Minaj Super bass vid (which I started of hating but ended up loving!) and she said I want you to do that look on me!! and I was like ok let me try this since I've NEVER done a yellow look before and wanted to see how it would look on me and I actually liked how it turned out!

Self-portait FAIL!!!!!!!!!

So today I want to introduce you guys to a talent that Im trying to master better and this is only my second time trying it and it was a complete FAIL!! I have always been good at drawing but the last few years I've been wanting to get better at painting so this passed weekend I decided to try a self-portait (I haven't been drawing or anything the last year and a half due to lack of inspiration) which I started of liking but not so much when I finshied so I'll decided I show you guys what I did like! LOL

Hair update - A break from locs!

Hey everyone!!


Sorry for being gone for a while but soooo much has been going on (good things) and Im slowly but surely taking in everything and haven't really had the time to sit down and make an update for you guys until today. I have so may posts I want to do but I figured I start with this one as it is a major one.


I NO LONGER HAVE MY LOCS!!!


Yes, you read right my locs are gone... BUT only of a little while. I decided to take my locs down because I felt that I had cheated in my journey. The reason why I felt that was because I still had perm in my hair when I started my locs and I never really took the time to get to know my hair in it's loose natural state and so my curiosity has grown over time and I decided this would be the best time to do it. Because my locs where at a length where I thought it would be easier to take them down. BOY WAS I WRONG it took me 5 days (starting from Feb 17 - 22) to take them out with the help of my sister

and my butt still hurts from sitting on the floor!!!

One thing is for sure when I start my journey again they are staying in FOR LIFE!!! LOL
Anyways Im happy with what I have learned so far and I think im going to wait about 2 months before I start my journey but I'll def. keep you guys posted!!

FOTD: Wearable arabic eyeshadow

As I was telling you before eyexluvxmakeup has been adding pics to the end of her vids to show the poeple who have submitted pics for the look she had done the week before. I submitted mine for the first time and was really surprised of the feedback I got!! I just submitted it for fun but it actually created some more attation on my YT channel and I am really happy about that!! (even thou I haven't posted a vid for a while LOL) =0)

Loc Inspiration #2: Una Morgan/ Morgan Heritage

Una Morgan is a member in the sibling band called Morgan Heritage and they are my favorite reggae band!!! This lovely lady is the one I saw on their concert in Gambia when I was there in January 2008 and felt that it was time to loc my hair!! I saw her beautiful waist lenght locs in goregous curls (before that I never paid attention to the fact that it's possible to curl locs) I instantly fell in love with her hair and wanted mine to look like hers!!! Cant wait until I get to that lenght!!!!

All of them actally have goregous long and thick locs!!

Loc Jouney: 2yrs 5months

Hey everyone!!

Sorry that I haven't posted for a while but its's been a busy week... My 2yrs 5months was actually last thursday but I decided to post this anyway:)

I do see a difference in my locs, but by this time I thought they would be longer and a bit thicker.. I don't mind the lenght just as long as they are growing and are healthy... Dont have much more to say about it... sooo hope you enjoy the pics!!

FOTD: Natural Eyes and Bold Lips

So earlier I was watching a youtuber (eyeXluvXmakeup) that did this look and in the video she was encouraging her viewers to replicate the looks that she does and send in pictures that she will post at the end of the vids. I love this idea!! Because I think it's nice to see peoples different interpretations of the look!! that maybe can inspire a whole other look!! 

Face: Mary Kay medium- coverage foundation (Bronze 708)  fashion fair power over.
Eyes: Like she did I also added a darker shade powder on my upper and lower lid (Island Beauty). Lined with ELF's black cream liner. Mascara is the Loreal Telescopic Mascara.
Cheeks: MAC - Love Rush blush
Lips: MAC- Cyber

Fashion/ Loc Inpiration #1: naKIMuli inc. - America's funky sweetheart!!

E.L.F Haul: Fantasy Lipstick!

Hey everyone!!

So a few weeks ago I had ordered some products from elf and among these products was the fantasy lipstick that I was really exited about trying!! At first when I tried it I didn't like it and it never dawned on me to try it with a lipliner..duh!!! lol But today I tried it with a lipliner from make up store(Swedish brand) in cafe au lait and I LOVED it!!!! This is my first favorite nude!!

Products / Hair regimen

I figured I show you guys the products I currently use and tell you alittle about what I do to my hair:


-Daily:I sprits my hair everyday with water and add some oil (Africa's best herbal oil) since my hair needs extra moisture during the winter.


-Wash:Now a days I wash every one to two weeks because of the iching but as it gets warmer I will strech it back to 3week which I used to do when I had my burgandy pink dye in. Every now an then I do a ACV rinse when I feel that is's really dirty and for the most part I wash with Africas best 2-n-1 moisturising shampoo. My most recent wash I tried putting honey in a organic clearifying rosemary shampoo (I bought it a while ago but didn't like because it stripped my hair to much for my liking and I hated how dry and hard my hair felt) and my hair felt AMAZING!! I really liked the results and have added this to my monthly clearfying together with thd acv.

-Maintaining:I re-twist about once a month, sometimes less because I don't really like the thin look my hair gets from it. I don't really put any grease on my scalp because it causes iching, but I do it when it seens really dry. 

(It's coconut oil in the indian hemp jar)

Loc Jouney

                      October 2009 - 2nd year

October 2010 - 3rd year 

I started my journey on September 3, 2008. I started it by semi-freeforming and interlocking on my own. It took a very long time before I finally got the curage to start them because of the myth of YOU HAVE TO SHAVE YOUR HAIR OFF!!!When I learned on youtube that this was not true I finally did it!! And this is by far the best decision I've ever made for my hair because my hair has never been healthier or longer!! I've had them for 2yr 5months now and I absolutly love them!!

(During my first year I moved to Maryland where I went to school) After my one year mark I went to see a loctician (Camille) in Silver Spring for the first time and dyed my hair a burgandy pink color (the color in the first pic) which I really loved but now it's dyed dark brown because I moved back home to Sweden and can't maintain it on my own. I love my loctician and I wish she was here!!!:(

Anyway back to maintaining.. I interlocked during my first year until I started to see my loctician who taught me how to palmroll which I have been doing since then, but every now and then when the new-growth gets to much I interlock a little and re-twist.
